Women participating in the WAVE training programmes will have access to a mentor to support their progression in ICT and Construction careers.
WAVE is connecting with women working in ICT roles and in Construction and the Built Environment, who want to join a Mentoring scheme and gain accredited skills as a Mentor.
If you are keen to share your experience with other women in these sectors, we want to hear from you.
Trained mentors will then be part of a new specialist Mentoring Scheme to support women in ICT and Construction who are involved in the WAVE Project. The skills and know-how from the programme will also benefit your employer and can be used to support others in the workplace.
Participation as a mentor or mentee will:

Contact us now to find out how you can get involved and for more details of the specific courses and support services being offered through the WAVE programme.
The aim of the WAVE programme is to understand and ‘interrupt’ the ways in which gender pay inequalities are consistently reproduced through occupational segregation in employment and self employment, through the ways in which ‘women’s work is contracted’ and through the operation of pay systems.
The WAVE programme has now concluded after 3 successful years. There are still loads of fantastic organisations that you can get involved with, take a look!Signposting
