Employers who become involved in the Strategic ICT Leadership programme will benefit from advice and support to improve the equality and diversity practices in their organisation.
WAVE will support engaged employers through a customised diagnostic assessment, developing an equality strategy and action plan, alongside access to knowledge-sharing workshops. Our advice will help employers to identify their equality priorities and connect to key business improvement models to show the value of improving equality and diversity practice for your core business.
Small and medium sized businesses, who are based in the convergence areas, from all sectors of the economy are eligible to access the double benefit of developing women into ICT Leadership and improving business performance through a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Links with the Gender Employment and Pay Network led by Cardiff University will also be open to participating employers, to facilitate learning from the new research and tools being developed.
The aim of the WAVE programme is to understand and ‘interrupt’ the ways in which gender pay inequalities are consistently reproduced through occupational segregation in employment and self employment, through the ways in which ‘women’s work is contracted’ and through the operation of pay systems.
The WAVE programme has now concluded after 3 successful years. There are still loads of fantastic organisations that you can get involved with, take a look!Signposting
