22/01/2015

Swansea event is being organised by WIC Wales (Women in ICT and Construction), part of the WAVE programme– Women Adding Value to the Economy – which is part funded by the Convergence European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

WAVE is a partnership programme led by the University of South Wales in partnership with Cardiff University and the Women’s Workshop Project @ BAWSO.

Karen Newton, serial entrepreneur, investor and writer will be speaking at the event about how you can make it with a ‘can do’ attitude and her experience of running multiple businesses.

About Us

The aim of the WAVE programme is to understand and ‘interrupt’ the ways in which gender pay inequalities are consistently reproduced through occupational segregation in employment and self employment, through the ways in which ‘women’s work is contracted’ and through the operation of pay systems.
